Write an exegetical paper of 1,250-1,500 words on the passage you selected in the Topic 3 assignment.
Be sure to have an introduction with a clear thesis statement. The body of the paper should conform to the points noted below and use headings that are specific to the genre of the selected passage. Clear headings should be used that connect to each of the sections of the paper. End the paper with a conclusion and a reference page.

If the passage you selected is a text in the genre of law, structure your paper according to the following points (use headings):

Describe the purpose of the law in Israel.
Identify the applicability of the purpose in a contemporary context.
You will want to look at the Vogt textbook for assistance with successfully completing these steps. You should particularly look at the pages where the author explains what each of these steps is trying to do. It will also be beneficial to look at the pages where Vogt explores each of these steps with a law passage found in Leviticus.
